The tradition of Christmas trees can be traced back through the centuries and over numerous cultures. Today, Christmas trees appear across the world from Brazil to South Africa to Germany. The trappings of this ancient custom have included ornaments crafted from metal, wood, glass, dried fruit, paper, candles, origami, toys, flowers, candies and now modern electric lights. (And let’s not forget the cherished macaroni decorations the kids make!!)
